Today was spent reviewing and preparing a response to the company’s economic proposals from yesterday. As reported earlier, it is clear the company does not value the employees at NIC, the work we provide our customers, or the revenue we bring to the company.

It’s a sad day in the Internet Services World (NIC)!  The company passed their proposed comprehensive package with all regressive proposals.  They added insults after insults.  The want to freeze your wages for the next 3 years, meaning you will earn less money each year for the life of the contract.  The company cries that it is broke.  Perhaps Mr. Stephenson fears going on government assistance like many of our employees are today.

It is apparent based on the Company’s rejecting our progressive proposals, as well as continuing to pass regressive proposals, the Company continues to de-value the employees of the NIC.

The Union Bargaining Team discussed Article 10, Working Conditions with the company regarding On Call Payments.  The company continues to reject proposals presented by the union for improving working conditions.
